Dawn at Blairmore Pier

from £320.00

Dreamy peach tones in this image made at a remote village in Scotland. The dawn colours in the sky make this a very calming image that takes you to a romantic place.

Blairmore Pier is a small romantic Victorian pier near Dunoon in Scotland. This timber pier was built in 1855 and was used by the Clyde steamers bringing goods and holiday makers on some of the earliest steam boats. Now, it is quiet and the only sound is the sandpipers that wander around the edges of the water feeding in the crystal clear water. Listen carefully and you will hear the echoes of ladies in big flowery hats and the rustle of crinolines as they trotted down the pier for a few days in the quiet villages of Argyll.
