Lynne — Artist at the Edge of the World
Working from her Isle of Skye studio, Lynne creates poetic seascapes and skies inspired by the wild romance of Scotland’s beaches and the Outer Hebrides. Her large-scale, limited edition works are sought after for their atmospheric calm and dramatic presence, designed as oversized statement art for both intimate and vast spaces.
Her photographs are collected internationally, with sales in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Australia, and her work has been exhibited in New York and Seoul. In June 2025, six of her artworks were permanently installed in the new Integrated Oncology Building at the Mayo Clinic in Florida — the first facility of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. This recognition highlights the restorative and timeless qualities of her work, and forms part of her expanding portfolio of commercial projects for hospitals, banks, and corporate interiors.
Each artwork is produced to museum standard on archival fine art papers or canvas, hand-signed, and offered in carefully limited editions — ensuring both rarity and enduring beauty.
A few words from Lynne…..
I am drawn to the timeless beauty of Scotland’s remote coasts—the whisper of winds over Hebridean sands, the shifting light across ancient waters, the quiet drama of a sky just before dawn. My work is born from these moments, steeped in the tradition of lyrical abstraction, where the heart’s feeling matters more than exact form.
Each image I create is a meditation on place and memory, an invitation to step into a soft landscape where colour and light breathe quietly together. Using long exposure and gentle movement, I seek to capture not only the visible world but the mood it leaves behind—the calm after a storm, the hopeful hush of morning, the subtle dance of tide and sky.
My art is a conversation with nature’s poetry, inviting you to pause, reflect, and find your own story in the folds of mist and shade. These are not merely photographs—they are visual poems, created with care, tradition, and a touch of reverence for all that is fleeting and beautiful.
