The Ninth Daughter

from £225.00

The sea speaks in voices—some gentle, some fierce—and The Ninth Daughter is one of her most mysterious. Captured at water level as the tide surged forward, this abstract seascape catches the moment waves fold and spill into white spray and race towards the shore.

Part of my lyrical sea series, this piece shares the same mineral palette of teal, turquoise, and pure white foam—but here the sea is more alive, more urgent more wild.

The title nods to myth—the ninth wave or daughter being the most powerful in Gaelic folklore. This image captures that moment of anticipation and grace.
