














An Orkney Berceuse
Orkney, a small archipelago of islands off the north east coast of Scotland. A lacework of pools of water and soft swells of land. On a day of wind and vast clouds the small houses on the horizon are dwarfed by Nature. The small sailing boat on the right hand side sails on a sea of silver. Orkney has a history of Viking warships, sailors and farmers who look after the land and beasts. A place cut off from the world where life moves slowly just like the waves.
I chose the name Berceuse, lullaby, as it echoes the soft rhythmic swell of the waves and land moving in harmony.
