Skye Blue is just a few yards from the viewpoint for the Kilt Rock waterfall. We are conveniently placed between the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing, about 13 miles from Portree. From our vantage point overlooking Loch Mealt, we have a panoramic view that takes in the hills on the mainland, the tiny island of Raasay, the Old Man of Storr and The Trotternish Ridge. Locally, we have otters and eagles, rare dinosaur footprints and lots of sheep. Our view is constantly changing with the seasons so whether you are watching the rain from the window, or are sitting on the deck enjoying a bit of sunshine, you are guaranteed an awesome experience.
With big windows looking out towards the Old Man of Storr, light floors and walls, the gallery will be a place of light and calm. We will have a frequently changing display of photography, art prints, pottery and jewellery. Too big to take away? Don’t worry, we ship all over the world.
We are expecting to open our doors in mid 2018, until then please browse our Collections and get in touch if you have any questions.
The Skye Blue Café
In the adjoining Skye Blue Café, visitors will be offered coffee and tea and other beverages alongside a selection of locally made cakes and scones. The atmosphere will be contemporary country style with a light airy feel. The main cafe area will have glass doors leading to an outdoor seating for those who wish to get the best of the views. With our unrestricted views of Loch Mealt and the Old Man of Storr you can sip your coffee and still enjoy the scenery.
We are new to this and no doubt haven’t thought of everything we could possibly sell in the cafe so feel free to send us some of your suggestions. Send your suggestions here >>
